Why is my CS:GO lagging?

First off, check your internet connection because a slow or unstable connection is a common culprit for lag in CS:GO. Also, make sure your PC meets the game's system requirements. Sometimes, running too many applications in the background can eat up your resources, causing the game to lag. Lastly, try lowering your game settings; high graphics settings can slow down your game if your hardware isn't up to snuff.

In my experience, updating your graphics card drivers can make a world of difference. Last time CS:GO was lagging for me, I updated my drivers and it was smooth sailing after that. Also, inside the game, try tweaking with your video settings. Sometimes, setting Shader Detail to low improves performance without sacrificing much on the visuals.

Sometimes the issue isn't your PC or your internet. Valve servers can have off days too, especially after big updates or during maintenance. Check online forums or the CS:GO server status page to see if others are experiencing similar issues.

Honestly, just get a better PC. CS:GO isn't that demanding. If you're lagging, it's time for an upgrade.
