Why won’t the console open in CS:GO?

If the console won't open in CS:GO, you probably haven't enabled it in your game settings. Go to the game settings, find the 'Game' tab, and look for the 'Enable Developer Console (~)' option. Make sure it's set to 'Yes.' Then, you can open the console by pressing the tilde key (~) usually found under the Esc key.

Just press `~`. If nothing happens, you forgot to enable it in settings. Easy fix!

Might sound silly, but also check your keyboard. I had a friend who struggled with opening the console only to realize his ~ key was broken. Also, make sure your game is up to date. Sometimes bugs from updates can mess with settings.
