Why won’t my Pokémon obey in Pokémon Violet?

Pokémon might not obey you in Pokémon Violet for a couple of reasons! First, if you've received a Pokémon through a trade and it's over a certain level, it won't listen to you unless you have the right number of Gym Badges. Second, if you're playing with a Pokémon that was caught using a cheating device, it might also refuse to obey. Make sure you're leveling up alongside your Pokémon and earning those badges to keep them in line!
