How do you tell what grade a Pokemon card is?

Grading a Pokemon card involves checking its condition based on factors like centering, corners, edges, and surface. The higher the scores in these categories, the better the grade. Professional grading services like PSA, Beckett, or CGC can do this for you. They'll give your card a grade from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, perfect condition.

From my experience, sending cards to get graded by a professional service is the way to go. They check everything from how centered the art is to any tiny scratches you might not see. Got a few of my cards back with grades I didn't expect - both good and bad!

Honestly, unless you're looking to sell, just enjoy your cards. Not everything needs a grade!

Just eyeball it, man. If it looks pretty and shiny without any scratches or bends, it's probably good. But for real value, you gotta send it to the pros.
