From my experience, lox are only aggressive if you attack them first. Otherwise, they happily mind their own business.

Don't poke the bear—lox are pretty gentle unless you start something. I've walked right past them without issues!

Lox can be territorial, especially if you get too close. But they won't chase you down for miles or anything.
