They don't die for real. Just some memory loss and respawn at a nearby Cathedral.
Nah, dying in Log Horizon just sends you back to the Cathedral. No permadeath here, but you will lose some memories.
Basically, you die, you kinda respawn with a trip to the Cathedral and some memory loss. So, no permadeath, thankfully.
It's kinda like a bad respawn cycle. You die, you lose a bit of memory and then respawn at the Cathedral. No Game Over screen.
