Unfortunately, nope, you can't change your name in Stardew Valley once you've set it at the beginning of the game. If you're really itching for a new identity, you'll have to start a fresh game. Bummer, I know, but it gives you a chance to experience the game from a new perspective!

Just stick with your name, it adds character to the game! Besides, all the townspeople have gotten used to calling you by your name. Imagine the confusion at the Flower Dance if you suddenly changed it. ;)

Actually, there's a workaround but it's a bit techy. If you're playing on PC, you can edit your save file to change your name. Make sure to back up your save file before messing with it though, because one wrong move and poof, your farm's gone. Definitely not recommended for the faint of heart or those not comfortable with editing game files!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
