Nope, if you're playing Stardew Valley in multiplayer, the host needs to be playing for others to access the game. Think of it like a party - no host, no party.

Actually, you kinda can, but not in the way you might think. If the host's game isn't running, you can't play on that particular farm. However, any player can start their own game and become the host of their own farm, inviting others to join them. So, it's a no but with a twist.

Stardew Valley multiplayer is a no-go without the host. Tried it with my friends, and whenever our host dipped, the farm was off-limits until they came back. It's a bit of a bummer but makes you appreciate your host a bit more, doesn't it?

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
