Yup, Blue Exorcist definitely has filler episodes. The anime diverges from the manga around episode 17 and it's quite different from there on out. So if you're a manga purist, consider skipping episodes 18-25 in Season 1.

Actually, the second season, Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, follows the manga without diverging. So, no fillers there! Stick to the Kyoto Saga for the authentic experience.

As someone who watched both seasons, I'd say only Season 1 has filler. Season 2 is all canon content! Way more satisfying!
