Infinite. Skull Cavern doesn't have a bottom. It's all about how well you prepare and how brave you are to face tougher enemies the deeper you go. I once made it past level 100 before having to bail. The loot down there is insane!
there's no end, dude. it just keeps going and getting harder. make sure you bring tons of bombs and food. and watch out for those iridium bats!
