Eric Barone, aka ConcernedApe, created Stardew Valley by himself over 4 years. Inspired to improve upon the Harvest Moon series, he taught himself to code, create pixel art, and compose music. Essentially, it was a massive DIY project fueled by passion for video games and a determination to see his vision come to life!

Stardew Valley was a one-man show! Barone did everything because he wasn't satisfied with existing farming sims. Talk about dedication!

idk, magic? But seriously, Barone's just really talented and put a ton of work into creating Stardew Valley all by his lonesome.

Eric Barone single-handedly developed Stardew Valley – coding, designing, and composing music. Started as a personal challenge to learn game development, it turned into a 4-year marathon to create a game he wanted to play.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
