Attaching bait in Stardew Valley is super easy once you get the hang of it! Just right-click the bait then your rod. If it doesn't work, you're probably using the Bamboo Rod, which doesn't support bait.
All these steps and no one mentioned you can't use bait with the first rod you get? Make sure you've upgraded to at least the Fiberglass Rod or you'll be scratching your head forever!
