Tried building my first silo without enough materials and Robin wouldn't even start. Make sure you have everything before you go see her. It's a lifesaver for keeping your animals fed, especially during winter. Worth every gold piece!

To build a silo in Stardew Valley, you gotta first have a little chat with Robin at the Carpenter's Shop. She's the go-to for all your construction needs. Make sure you've got 100 gold, 100 stone, 10 clay, and 5 copper bars. If you've got all that, Robin will set you up with a silo where you can store all the feed for your animals. Just pick a spot on your farm and she'll get to building. Takes about 2 days to complete!
