Feeding your animals in Stardew Valley is pretty simple! First, make sure you've got hay -- either by cutting grass with your scythe or buying it from Marnie's Ranch. If you're using a coop or barn, just go inside and place the hay on the feeding bench. Your animals will munch on it and be happy.

U don't need to feed them if they're outside eating grass... saves a ton of hay and $$$

Just throw some hay on the feeding troughs in your barn or coop. If it's winter or you're out of grass, buy hay from Marnie!

Honestly, don't overthink it. Just keep the feeding bench stocked, and let them roam outside when the weather's good. They'll sort themselves out.
