How do you feed your animals in Stardew Valley?
EnvassalingTier·8 months agoFeeding your animals in Stardew Valley is pretty straightforward and a core part of your daily farm routine! First up, make sure you have a silo – this stores any hay you cut from grass. Then, you'll either place hay directly from your inventory into the feeding troughs inside your animal buildings (like the coop or barn), or, if you've got an upgraded barn or coop, the hay can automatically be dispensed into the troughs from your silo. Just remember, animals need to eat every day to stay happy and produce goods!

Honestly, just upgrade your barn and coop asap. It makes feeding a non-issue since it auto-fills the feeders. Do it and save yourself the daily hassle!
Easiest way? Just let them outside if the weather's good. They'll munch on the grass and be all happy without you having to lift a finger to feed them! But of course, during winter or on rainy days, you gotta do it the old school way with hay from the silo.
Don't forget, animals won't eat if they're not happy! So even if you've done everything right feeding-wise, make sure their home is clean and you're giving them some love by clicking on them daily. Then, watch as they churn out those high-quality products!
