Hot take: Just focus on farming, who needs a boat anyway? Ginger Island isn't going anywhere.

To unlock the boat in Stardew Valley, you gotta repair Willy's old boat in the backroom of his Fish Shop. It'll cost you 200 Hardwood, 5 Iridium Bars, and 5 Battery Packs. Not a small fee, but totally worth it for the access it grants to Ginger Island. Make sure you've finished the Community Center or Joja Warehouse to get Willy to show you the backroom first!

Honestly, unlocking the boat was one of my best moments in Stardew Valley. Yes, it's a bit of a grind to get all the materials, but the adventure that awaits on Ginger Island makes it super worth it. Plus, new crops and a whole new area to explore? Sign me up!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
