How Does a Fish Pond Work in Stardew Valley?
WarningSquad路8 months agoA fish pond in Stardew Valley is pretty neat for fish farming and more! Once you build it, you can throw in almost any type of fish you catch. Over time, these fish will reproduce, increasing the pond's population up to a certain limit, which varies depending on the fish type. You'll occasionally get requests from your fish to add certain items to the pond to increase their population limit. Besides getting more fish to sell or use, ponds can also produce roe and other fish-related products. It's like a magic fish bucket that keeps giving!

I've seen folks argue about the best fish for ponds, but it's really up to what you need. Caviar from Sturgeon? Yes, please. Just remember, not all fish give you the same bang for your buck. Choose wisely!
Fish pond, huh? It's basically free money if you play it right. Stock it with the right fish, and you'll be rolling in roe and rare items. Keep an eye on those fish requests though; they can be a bit random but totally worth it.
Fish ponds? Overrated. Just focus on crops, way less hassle and more profitable IMHO.
