It took me a couple weeks to get comfortable with the game's mechanics, but I'm still learning new tricks every day after months of playing!
You can get the basics pretty quickly, but mastering it might take you a lifetime, LOL. Each character has so much depth!
From my experience, I'd say you can pick up the basics in about a week or two of consistent play. But learning the intricacies of each character and mastering your favorite might take a couple of months at least.
