There's literally no cap! Play till your farming heart is content. I've been on year 25 and still find new stuff to do. Stardew Valley is a gift that keeps on giving.

Only two words: Infinity and beyond! Stardew Valley doesn't have an end to the years. Though, the main storyline kinda wraps up in your third year, you're free to continue playing after that!
