Well, Eric Barone hasn't exactly spilled the beans on the exact dollars and cents, but given it was a solo project, the 'cost' was probably more in blood, sweat, and tears than cold hard cash. Stardew's success is a testament to what dedication and a dream can do.

Honestly, does it matter? Stardew Valley is a masterpiece, and the fact that ConcernedApe did most of the work makes it priceless. It's worth every penny you pay to own it.

Oh, the magic number for Stardew Valley's development cost isn't publicly out there, but considering it was mainly developed by one man, Eric Barone, you can guess it was more about time and passion than high costs. He worked on it for about 4 years, so if you think about living expenses rather than a big studio budget, that might give you an idea.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
