Tbh, you'll need more iron than you think. Aim for 300+ if you're planning to go big with bases and everything.

Honestly, just keep mining it. You can never have too much iron. Stockpile it and you'll be ready for any upgrades or repairs.
As someone who spent hours in the crypts, you'll need about 200 iron for just the important stuff. But more is always better!
