Sprinklers in Stardew Valley help automate watering your crops, saving you a lot of time and energy. Here's a basic rundown: A basic sprinkler waters the 4 adjacent tiles (up, down, left, right), an upgraded Quality Sprinkler waters the 8 tiles around it in a square, and the Iridium Sprinkler waters a big 24-tile area (5x5 area minus the corners). Just plant them, fill them with water, and they do the rest!
If you're lazy like me and hate watering plants every day, sprinklers are your best friend in Stardew. But remember, they don't work on the day you plant them (gotta water manually that day) and they don't refill your pet's water bowl, unfortunately.
I've been using sprinklers since my first year in Stardew Valley, and they're game changers. Once you get the Quality or Iridium ones, you can practically automate your whole farm. Just make sure to plan your farm layout around their watering patterns for max efficiency.
