Simple. Get an Iridium Rod, then press A on the tackle in your inventory and A again on your rod. If you’re using a Bamboo or Fiberglass Rod, sorry, no tackle attachment for those.

You can't attach tackle to a Fishing Rod that isn't an Iridium Rod. Learned that the hard way! Make sure you upgrade your rod first.

To add fishing tackle in Stardew Valley on your Switch, first, make sure you've upgraded your fishing rod to at least the Iridium Rod. Basic rods won't work with tackle. Then, open your inventory, select the tackle, and with it selected, click on the rod. Boom, you're all set to catch some fish with your newly equipped tackle!

Just equip that rod with an Iridium label and slap on your tackle. It’s like adding a fancy scope to a blaster. If it doesn’t snap on, you might be using the wrong rod. Upgrade time!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
