Just hit 'A' on the tackle with the Iridium Rod equipped. If you try it with a lesser rod, it's a no-go. Upgrading your gear is key in Stardew Valley.

To attach fishing tackle in Stardew Valley on your Switch, make sure you've upgraded your fishing rod first! Only the Iridium Rod, which you can get from Willy鈥檚 Fish Shop after reaching Fishing Level 6, allows you to use tackle. Select the tackle from your inventory, and then with the rod equipped, press the 'A' button to attach it. Easy peasy, happy fishing!

You can't add tackle to just any rod. Upgrade to an Iridium Rod first. Trust me, makes a world of difference when you're trying to catch those elusive fish.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
