When in doubt, copy everything in the Valheim folder in AppData to a backup drive. It's better to have too much than missing files!

Super easy! Just navigate to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim, copy the 'worlds' and 'characters' folders to a safe place. Done!

Honestly, the quickest way is to use a cloud storage service. Just sync your Valheim save folders to the cloud, and you're good!

Don't stress. Open your File Explorer, find the Valheim save files under AppData, copy and paste them into a backup location. Simple as that.
