Honestly, just drag and drop the bait onto the rod in your inventory, but remember, you can't do this with the first fishing rod you get. Upgrade your gear, folks!

First things first, you gotta get yourself a fishing pole that can actually use bait. The Bamboo Pole you start with won't cut it; you need to upgrade to the Fiberglass Rod or better. Once you've got that, open your inventory, pick up the bait (left click or tap and hold on mobile), and then click or tap on the rod. Voila! You're all set to catch some fish.

Ugh, why bother with bait? Just upgrade your rod and enjoy fishing. Bait's overrated if you ask me.

It's easy peasy! Just make sure you're not trying to stick bait on that basic Bamboo Pole. Upgrade to a Fiberglass Rod or anything better. Then, just click the bait, and then click your rod. Boom, baited! Now go fish.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
