To befriend the Wizard in Stardead Valley, bring him gifts! He loves Solar Essence, Void Essence, and Super Cucumber. Just don't bring him any Quartz; he's not a fan. You can also talk to him at his tower in Cindersap Forest to slowly build up your friendship.

Once, I accidentally gave the Wizard a Quartz, thinking it was cool. Big mistake. Stick to Solar Essence or Super Cucumber. Trust me, it works wonders in earning his friendship!
