Honestly, breeding goats isn't as rewarding as it sounds. Focus on crops or artisan goods for a more profitable farm. Goats are cute, but there are faster ways to make gold in Stardew Valley.

Breeding goats in Stardew Valley is pretty straightforward. First, you need to ensure you have a Big Barn, as goats can't breed in the standard barn. Next, purchase a goat from Marnie's Ranch. Make sure you also buy a goat milk pail to milk them. To actually breed your goats, you'll need to purchase a 'Pregnancy' option from Marnie's shop. This option only appears if you have a mature goat in a Big Barn. After that, it's all about waiting for the magic to happen. Your goat will eventually give birth, increasing your goat family! Remember, goats have a gestation period, so be patient.

Hot take: Just buy more goats, honestly. Breeding takes time and effort. If you've got the gold, spare yourself the wait and just expand your herd the easy way.
