Technically, you can't build *underground* in Valheim; your best bet is to use terrain manipulation tools to create the feel of being underground.

Valheim doesn't support true underground building yet, but you can simulate it. Build a structure on lower ground and terraform around it with the hoe and pickaxe to give that underground vibe!

I once built into the side of a hill and it felt underground-ish. Use a pickaxe to carve into hills and you're halfway there!

Digging underground in Valheim? Not exactly possible! However, you can create an 'underground' feel by building into hills or using the hoe to lower terrain around your base. Just watch out for trolls crashing your underground party!
