Fishing in Stardew Valley on the Switch is pretty straightforward but needs a bit of practice. You'll start by going to a body of water and using your fishing rod. Press and hold the 'Y' button to cast your line. When you see an exclamation mark (!) above your character's head, quickly press 'Y' again to hook the fish. Then, you'll enter the mini-game where you need to keep the fish within the green bar by pressing 'Y' to reel in and releasing it to let the fish swim. Keep the fish in the bar until the right side of the screen fills up, and voila, you've caught a fish!

I spent hours fishing in Stardew Valley, and here's the trick: press 'Y' to cast your line, wait for the '!' mark, then press 'Y' again. Now, balance the green bar with the 'Y' button to keep the fish inside it. Sounds simple, but it's an art!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
