How to Change Host in Stardew Valley
Changing the host in Stardew Valley is a bit like convincing your cat to take a bath - not exactly designed to be easy, but not impossible. The truth is, there's no built-in feature to seamlessly switch who the host is mid-game. However, you can work around it: the would-be new host needs to get the save file from the current host. This file is located in the game's directory (on PC it's under %appdata%\StardewValley\Saves). After obtaining it, place it in the same directory on the new host's machine. Voila, you've sorta changed hosts. Just remember, the original host won't have control or progress saved under their name anymore.

Hot take: Just start a new farm with the person you want as the new host. It's less hassle and you get to experience the joy of starting fresh!
I swapped hosts with my buddy once. Legit, it's all about moving that save file. Make sure you back it up though! Lost a full season of crops because I forgot to. ??
Honestly, you can't just 'change' hosts like swapping hats. The game doesn't support a straightforward host swap without fiddling with the save files. So, if you're not up for a bit of file management gymnastics, it might be time to consider whose farm you're really attached to.
