Actually, I managed to change the look of Geometry Dash by playing around with my graphics card settings. For NVIDIA, go to the NVIDIA Control Panel, adjust the 'Change resolution' or 'Adjust desktop size and position'. It's not exactly in-game, but it kinda does the trick if you're persistent enough.
