Had a typo in my name and couldn't stand it. Edited the save file on my PC and voilà, new name! Just search for your character name in the file and change it. Remember to keep a backup in case something goes wrong.

Changing your name in Stardew Valley is kinda like trying to change your fate – not straightforward without a wizard's help. Unfortunately, there's no in-game option to change your name after you've set it during character creation. However, if you're not afraid of delving into your game's files a bit, you can edit your name directly in the save file. Just make sure to back up your save file before you start tinkering!

Actually, you're stuck with your name. Stardew Valley is all about living with your choices, including your name. So, choose wisely at the beginning!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
