Just FYI, Stardew Valley's chat on Switch ain’t like your typical MMO chatrooms. It's pretty basic but does the trick when you're farming with friends. Press right on the d-pad, type your peace, and send it off. Happy farming!

To chat in Stardew Valley on the Switch, you'll need to press the right directional arrow on your Joy-Con or Pro Controller. This brings up the chat box. Then, use the on-screen keyboard to type your message. Just make sure you've got the online gameplay going, as chat is meant for multiplayer fun!

Nope, you can't really "chat" in Stardew Valley on Switch if you're thinking about voice chat. It's all about that text life. Keep it old school.

Chat in Stardew Valley Switch edition? Easy peasy. Right on the d-pad, summon the chat box, and start the farm gossip.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
