To chop down trees in Stardew Valley, you gotta equip your axe first; just open the inventory, select it, and then you're all set to swing away at any tree you want to chop down. Keep hitting the tree until it falls and leaves behind wood and sometimes sap!

Pro tip: Make sure you have enough space in your inventory before going on a tree-chopping spree. Nothing's more annoying than having to drop items to make room for all that sweet, sweet wood.

Axe go brrr on tree. Tree go boom. You get wood. Simple!

You just need an axe! Hit the tree with it several times. As you upgrade your axe, chopping down trees becomes quicker.
