Log in, go to 'Settings', and find 'Account options'. Click 'Close your account' and confirm. Pretty simple!
Just did this last week. Log into PayPal, click on the gear icon (Settings), then hit 'Close your account' under 'Account options'. Takes a few minutes!
You can close your account in the settings section. It's smooth sailing from there!
