From my experience, pressing and holding 'E' while hovering over the block on PC always works. I've remodeled my base dozens of times!
Uhh... why would you ever delete your blocks? They're your precious fortresses against those creepy employees!
Tap the block you want to delete and press the delete button that appears.
You can delete blocks by pressing 'E' on PC or using the appropriate interact button on your device while aiming at the block.
