Why bother disconnecting? Just leave it there!
I recently had to do this too. Just head to the PayPal app or website, go to 'Wallet,' choose the bank account you want to disconnect, and hit 'Remove bank' or 'Unlink'. Make sure you've got another payment method set up first if necessary!
