To get Discord overlay in Among Us, open Discord, go to User Settings > Game Activity, and make sure overlay is enabled. Then start Among Us, and you should see the Discord overlay pop up!
Honestly, I find the Discord overlay more distracting than useful. I prefer just using voice chat without it.
From personal experience, enabling the Discord overlay can be a bit wonky sometimes. Make sure both Discord and Among Us are updated to their latest versions to avoid any issues.
