How to Drop Stuff in Stardew Valley
To drop stuff in Stardew Valley, just open your inventory, click on the item you want to drop, and then click outside the inventory window on the ground. It’ll drop right there. Don't do this with items you care about though, 'cause once you leave the screen, they're gone!

Just drag the item out of your inventory and say goodbye. It's the simplest way to declutter your pockets, but remember, it's also how you lose your favorite axe.
