Editing your save file in Stardew Valley is pretty straightforward but always back up your files first! You'll find your save files in the '%appdata%/StardownValley/Saves' folder on Windows. Open the desired save file with a text editor (Notepad works great), and you're free to make changes. However, be careful! Tweaking your save file can mess up your game if you don't know what you're doing.

Dove into my save file once to 'correct' my dog's name. Armed with nothing but determination and a basic guide from a Stardew forum, it felt like defusing a bomb. Success was sweet, though. The feeling of power? Unmatched. Just remember: with great power comes great responsibility (and potential game crashes).

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
