To enable chat in Among Us on PC, just head to the settings menu in the main lobby and look for the 'Data' tab. Turn on the 'Free Chat' option there. You're good to go!

From my experience, you just go to the settings in the lobby, hit the 'Data' tab, and toggle 'Free Chat.' It's simple!
