Make sure you got the right rod dude. Only Fiberglass and Iridium can handle bait. Drag the bait to the rod in your inventory, or if you're on mobile, tap the bait then your rod. Simple stuff.

You can't just slap bait on any old stick and call it a fishing rod in Stardew Valley. You need at least a Fiberglass Rod, which you can get from Willy's Fish Shop after reaching fishing level 2. Just click and drag the bait onto the rod in your inventory. Easy peasy!

First things first, you gotta have the right rod! You can only attach bait to the Fiberglass Rod or the Iridium Rod. Open your inventory, pick up the bait, and right-click (or tap, depending on your platform) on the rod. Boom! Bait attached, and you're ready to catch some fish.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
