Hardwood? Just get a stronger axe and hit those big stumps and logs. Easy.

Farming hardwood in Stardew Valley is pretty chill once you get the lay of the land. First off, upgrade your axe to at least a copper one cause otherwise, you're just swinging at air. Then, take your beefed-up axe and hunt for large stumps and fallen logs on your farm and in the Secret Woods. Big stumps give you 2 hardwood a pop, and the logs drop a cool 8 hardwood. Remember, the Secret Woods replenish their stumps daily, so it's like a hardwood buffet if you visit every day.

Don't forget about the Forest Farm layout. It's literally hardwood heaven with renewable stumps right on your doorstep. Choose this farm layout if you're hardcore about stocking up on hardwood.

Just buy the stuff from Robin's shop if chopping's too much of a hassle. Sure, it might feel like cheating, but hey, time is money, right?
