Finding a prismatic shard in Stardew Valley isn't as daunting as it sounds, but it does require some patience and luck. Your best bet is hitting the mines, especially the Skull Cavern. The deeper you go, the better your chances. Honestly? Just keep at it. It took me forever to find one, then suddenly, I found two in a row in the Skull Cavern. It's all about persistence (and maybe a little bit of sacrifice to the Stardew gods).
hot take but prismatic shards are overrated. Just enjoy the game and you'll stumble upon one eventually. Stressing over finding one sucks the fun out of Stardew.
