How to Find Coal in Stardew Valley
HatchellingCalm·8 months agoCoal can seem like the hardest thing to find when you really need it, lol. But don't sweat it! You can actually find coal by breaking rocks in the mines, especially the ones that look a bit different, with those little black shards on them. And don’t forget, dust sprites in the mines drop coal too, so keep your sword handy! If you’re in a pinch and need it now, you can always buy it from Clint, the blacksmith. It's a bit pricey, but can save you in a crunch.

Honestly, coal gathering is a breeze once you get the hang of breaking the right rocks and taking down dust sprites. I’ve stocked up loads just from casual mining sessions. Plus, the Charcoal Kiln is a game-changer. Don't sweat it too much, you'll find your rhythm!
Pro tip: Ever heard of a Charcoal Kiln? Just craft one of these babies with 20 wood and 2 copper bars, and you can turn 10 pieces of wood into 1 piece of coal. Wood is way easier to come by, so it's a good trade-off if you're tired of hunting those dust sprites.
Coal? Just mine a lot or open those crates in the mine. Easy peasy.
