How to Get Chickens to Lay Eggs in Stardew Valley
Chickens not laying eggs? Feed 'em and love 'em. Seriously, just make sure they're fed daily and pet them to keep their happiness up. They won't lay eggs if they're too young, unhappy, or if it's winter and they can't go outside.

To get chickens to lay eggs in Stardew Valley, first, you gotta buy 'em from Marnie's Ranch. Make sure you feed them every day either by letting them outside to eat grass (don't forget to close the coop at night!) or by placing hay in the coop's feeding bench. Happy chickens = eggs every morning, except when they're babies or grumpy.
Make sure your coop ain't full. A packed coop means no space for new eggs. Also, keep 'em happy! Talk and feed your chickens daily.
