Actually, just buy 'em. Clint, the town blacksmith, sells copper ore for 75g a pop. Sure, you could break a sweat in the mines, or you could just break open your piggy bank. Your farm, your rules.

So you wanna be a copper baron, huh? Easy peasy. First, grab your pickaxe and head to the mines. Copper ore is what you're after, and it starts popping up on level 1 but gets more common as you go deeper. Once you've got yourself a nice pile of copper ore, you're gonna need a furnace. If you don't have one, don't fret鈥攃rafting it is a snap with 20 copper ores and 25 stones. Toss 5 ores and a piece of coal in the furnace, wait a bit, and voila! You've got yourself a shiny copper bar.

Mining? Too mainstream. I just sift through the trash cans in town. You'd be surprised what people toss out. Okay, maybe not copper bars, but hey, a clump of copper ore? It's happened. Maybe.

Don't forget, adventurous farmer, to keep an eye on your energy levels in the mine. Those rocks won't smash themselves, but passing out from exhaustion is a surefire way to ruin your copper-collecting day.
