You can get medals in Evony Age 2 by attacking and conquering valleys and NPC cities. I suggest targeting higher-level valleys for better drops!
Honestly, the best way is hitting up the valleys and quests. Anything else is hit-or-miss.
Pro tip from experience: Participate in server events and king's path missions. They have special rewards including medals!
