As far as I know, you have to gather in the desert tiles or look out for special events. Good hunting!
The fastest way? Participate in various in-game events and keep your gathering troops active. Those maps are rare but worth it!
I just kept an eye on the in-game events and eventually got my map during a special event. Patience and participation!
